The entertainment industry has been badly hit by the second COVID-19 wave in India. Celebrities from Akshay Kumar to Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt have tested positive for COVID-19.

Vicky Kaushal - The ‘Uri' movie actor took to social media on April 5 to confirm that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Cases are rapidly increasing and especially in Maharashtra, where the Bollywood industry is based. He wrote, “Inspite of all care and precautions, Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all essential protocols, I am under home quarantine taking medication as prescribed by my doctor. I request all those who came in contact with me to immediately get tested. Take care and stay safe.”
Akshay Kumar - On April 4, the actor took to his social media handle and shared the news. He wrote, “I wish to inform everyone that earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols I have immediately isolated myself.” I am under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request everyone all those who have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon!”
Govinda - The vetaran actor tested positive for COVID-19 on April 1, 2021. He is under home quarantine and has urged all the people who came in contact with him to get themselves tested.
Alia Bhatt - On April 1, the 'Highway' took to social media and announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19. She wrote, “ Hello all I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all the safety protocols on the advice of my doctor. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care.”
Kartik Aryan - The youth icon, who was shooting for his new upcoming movie 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' has tested positive on March 22. Soon after appearing at Fashion Week as a showstopper, the actor took to his social media handle and informed everyone. He wrote, “ Positive ho gaya, Dua karo (I am positive, pray for me).”
Ranbir Kapoor - The actor’s mother Netu Kapoor on March 9, took to social media and informed that Ranbir has tested positive for COVID-19. He tested negative on March 26.
