Gali Guleiyan, the 2017 Dipesh Jain-directed psychological
thriller drama was released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime on October 28, 2022.

Indian actor Manoj Bajpayee who plays
the lead role in the movie announced the OTT release on his social media,
writing, “Gali Guleiyan, one of the most challenging and rewarding roles I
have ever played, is FINALLY! Out on AMAZON PRIME.”

The drama has been screened and has won several accolades at
film festivals across the world. In his social media post, Bajpayee wrote, “The film has
traveled the world through national and international film festivals and won
many accolades. However, I wanted the film made available to the audience of my
country, but getting this done has been a fight, and it has finally come to
fruition.”

Release

Gali Guleiyan (In The Shadows) was first
premiered at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival in October
2017. It went on to be screened at the 2017 MAMI Film Festival, the 42nd
Cleveland International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival,
Atlanta Film Festival, and the 2018 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

In September 2018, the film was released
theatrically in India. After four years of its theatrical release, the film is
now streaming on OTT platform Amazon Prime.

Plot

The film follows the journey of a shopkeeper,
Khuddoos, who is trapped within the city walls and attempts to break free to
find a human connection. He is caught up in the maze of his own mind when he
observes people through his hidden cameras until one day when he is faced with the
truth.

Cast

The film stars Manoj Bajpayee in the
lead role of Khuddoos. Ranvir Shorey stars as Ganeshi along with Shahana
Goswami, who plays the role of Saira. Neeraj Kabi and Om Singh play the roles of
Liakat and Idris respectively.
