Gold prices traded slightly higher on Friday setting the biggest weekly gain in the past three quarters. The gain can be attributed to hopes of monetary easing by the US Federal Reserve after the Thursday’s softer-than-expected inflation report. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 7.7% year-on-year in October, the smallest rise since January and below market forecasts of an 8% increase.
