The Sensex moved in a high and low band of 60,848.73 and 60,425.47. A total of 6 stocks advanced against 24 declining on the index.
The Nifty traded in the high-low range of 18,103.10 and 17,969.40. On the index, 11 stocks advanced and 39 stocks declined.

The broader indices ended lower with the BSE MidCap index losing 1.02% and the SmallCap index down by 1.05%. The top losing sectoral indices on the BSE were Auto down by 2.06%, Consumer Durables 1.36%, Commodities 1.35%, Consumer Discretionary 1.35%, and Metal 0.94%, while there were no gaining sectoral indices on BSE.

The top losers on the Sensex were Axis Bank down by 3.54%, Bajaj Finserv 3.04%, Titan Company 2.99%, M&M 2.94%, and Bajaj Finance 2.34%. While the gainers on the index were HDFC Bank up by 1.13%, Bharti Airtel 0.94%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.85%, Dr. Reddy’s Labs 0.15%, and Hindustan Uniliver 0.10%.
The top losers on the Nifty were Tata Motors down by 4.61%, Axis Bank 3.70%, Mahindra & Mahindra by 3.07%, Bajaj Finserv by 2.72% and Titan Company by 2.60%. While the top gainers were Hero Motocorp up by 2.39%, HDFC Bank 1.24%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 1.07%, ONGC 0.90%, and Bharti Airtel 0.85%.

Union Bank of India, Linc Limited, BSL Limited, Refex Industries Limited, and Kriti Nutrients Limited hit their 52-week high on Thursday.
Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Teamlease Services Limited, Piramal Pharma Limited, Gland Pharma Limited, and Quess Corp Limited touched a 52-week low on Thursday.
FSN E-commerce Ventures Ltd (Nykaa), Lupin Limited, Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Tata Motors, and Axis Bank Limited were the most active equities on NSE.

The top volume gainers were Hindustan Media Ventures Limited, FSN E-commerce Ventures Ltd (Nykaa), Linc Limited, Kriti Nutrients Limited, and Par Drugs and Chemicals Limited.
BSL Limited, Linc Limited, Neuland Laboratories Limited, Par Drugs and Chemicals Limited, and Vertoz Advertising Limited hit their upper price band.
