The Central Board
of Secondary Education (CBSE)
has announced that it will release Class 12 results
at 2pm on Friday, July 30. CBSE’s announcement concludes months-long wait of
students
who have been eagerly waiting to see their scorecards.

How to check Class 12 results

Once
the results are declared, students will be able to check their scores on CBSE’s official
websites
: cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in and other
digital platforms including DigiLocker.

Step
1: Visit CBSE’s official websites: cbse.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in

Step
2: Click on ‘CBSE Class 10,12’ result link

Step
3: Enter log-in credentials— registration number and roll number

Step
4: Download the results and take a printout for future reference 

Students
will also be able to see their results via SMS.

To check your
Class 12 result via SMS type: <CBSE12>Space<Roll No>Space<Admit
Card ID> and send it to 7738299899.

On Thursday, CBSE
released the way students can check their roll numbers.

How to check your roll number

Step 1: Visit the website www.cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse.html

Step 2: Click on ‘Roll number finder’ on the homepage

Step 3: On the new page, select your class

Step 4: Enter name, father’s name, mother’s name and school code

Step 5: Click on ‘search data’ CBSE will release the results on the board’s
official websites: cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in as well as Digilocker.

The board has asked students to keep their roll numbers handy in order to
promptly check their results.  

CBSE could not
conduct its board examinations this year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a
result, the board had to come up with an alternative scoring formula.

CBSE used a
40:30:30 formula for evaluation of marks. According to the formula, the theory
marks of each subject will be computed using 40% from the marks they got in the
pre-boards and mid-term exams held by their schools earlier this year, 30% from
their Class 11 final exam marks and 30% from their Class 10 board exam results.
