The entrance examination of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will be conducted between September 20 and 23, the institute’s vice-chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar announced on Tuesday. Kumar said that the University’s admission process would start as soon as the results of the entrance examination are announced.

Admission into some of the programmes would require a viva after the written exam. The viva will be held online, said Kumar. In times of the COVID-19 pandemic, students would not be required to travel.

The exams will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) online at designated centres.

JNU started the online registration for its entrance exam on Tuesday. The last date to register for the exam in August 27.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) also announced the dates for Delhi University Entrance Test-2021 on Tuesday.

The exams will commence from September 26 and will end on October 1.

Delhi University commenced the registration process for PG, M.Phil, and PhD programmes on Monday while for undergraduate programmes the registration process will commence from August 2.

Entrance exams will be held for Ph.D, PG and M.Phil programmes and a few undergraduate courses.

Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently released a revised term-wise syllabus for Classes 9 to 12. The term-wise syllabus will be applicable for the CBSE board exams in 2022.

The detailed curriculum of all subjects has been released on the board’s official website: cbseacademic.nic.in.

In view of the continuing pandemic situation and its associated curbs, CBSE has decided to divide the syllabus for classes 9 to 12 in two terms. The syllabus as a whole has also been reduced.
