Aamir Khan released his first podcast, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha Ki Kahaniyaan’ on May 5. In the podcast, Aamir shared many stories about the film and its song, Kahani.

 Aamir revealed that they began working on the film 14 years ago. “In June-July, the film will complete 14 years, since we started it. It has been quite a journey. The first few years, we were running behind the rights of the film,” he stated.

After several years of delays, the long-awaited project is finally set to hit the big screen, and fans couldn’t be happier.

He also talked about the film’s behind-the-scenes moments, the making of the film, music, and other interesting details.

Aamir commented on the lyrical video for the first song from the film, saying, “I wanted people to just listen to the song created by Pritam and Amitabh Bhattacharya. We have confidence in the singers that whatever they’ve created doesn’t need the film’s visuals. I wanted that everyone should listen to the song and experience it.”

He went on to say that the song ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’ by Raj Kapoor inspired Kahani.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is an official adaptation of ‘Forrest Gump’, a 1994 Tom Hanks film based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name.

Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, a Telugu actor, makes his Bollywood debut in this film. The film is written by Atul Kulkarni and Eric Roth and produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios.

Advait Chandan is the director of the film. Mona Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan both play pivotal parts.

 ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ will be released in theatres around the world on August 11th.
