Arianna Davis, former dancer for Lizzo and one of the plaintiffs who has sued the singer for sexual harassment, gushed about how she admires her, calling her “queen” just months before filing the lawsuit.

In a video obtained by TMZ from April 2023, Davis gushed over how much she admired Lizzo, saying, “It’s been so amazing and such a beautiful journey. I look up to her so much. I just want to follow in her footsteps, and I just want to share that with the Queen Lizzo herself.”

Davis said all these things after the European leg of Lizzo’s tour and after Season 1 of ‘Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.’ The allegations brought on by Davis against Lizzo regarding alleged incidents, reportedly happened before she shot this video. The video is meant to be an interview for Season 2 of the show, where Davis pitches herself as a singer.

Lizzo’s lawyer, Marty Singer, told TMZ: “These do not sound like the words of someone who was harassed or discriminated against by someone they described as ‘THE QUEEN. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words and here a video shows that there are no legitimate claims in this lawsuit. We are confident that Lizzo will be completely vindicated in this matter.”

One of the allegations stated in the lawsuit is that Lizzo reportedly called attention to a Davis’ weight after an appearance at South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival. Davis was allegedly told that she seemed “less committed” to her role. The comment, at the time, was understood to be a “thinly veiled” concern about her weight.

Davis began performing with Lizzo after competing on her Amazon reality show, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, in 2021. She was later fired.

In another instance at the Amsterdam strip club, Bananenbar, Lizzo allegedly “began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas,” the suit says. “Lizzo then turned her attention to Ms. Davis and began pressuring Ms. Davis to touch the breasts of one of the nude women.”

After Davis declined to do so, Lizzo allegedly led a chant coaxing her to do so. However, after Davis continued to refuse, the chant “grew louder and more strident, demanding a visibly uncomfortable Ms. Davis to engage with the performer.” Feeling pressured, Davis eventually agreed and briefly touched the performer. As she did, the group burst into laughter.
