Sahdev Dirdo, the boy who rose to fame after his ‘Bachpan Ka Pyaar’ video went viral earlier this year, is reportedly in a critical condition after meeting with a road accident in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

The 10-year-old boy was on his way to his village on a motorcycle with his father when he fell off the motorcycle and sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a district hospital and was later shifted to Medical College in Jagdalpur, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The boy, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, has reportedly suffered head injuries and is said to be in critical condition. The rider sustained minor bruises, Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma told PTI.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed Nandanwar to provide best medical aid at the earliest to Dirdo.

Dirdo, who is a native of tribal-dominated and Naxal-hit Sukma district, became an Internet sensation in the middle of this year after a video of him singing ‘Bachpan ka Pyaar’ in school uniform went viral.

After the video went viral, Dirdo featured in Badshah’s music video along with singer Aastha Gill. The video of the song was released in August.
