Jennifer Lawrence is one of the biggest Hollywood stars and has been dominating the film industry ever since her rise to stardom with the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise. Lawrence earned an Oscar nomination for Winter’ Bone (2010), and won an Oscar for “Silver Linings Playbook”. In four years from 2010-2013, Lawrence was nominated for Oscars three times.

After 2016, Lawrence was seen only in three movies – ‘Polarizing Mother’ (2017), ‘Red Sparrow’ (2018), and ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ (2019).
But now Lawrence is back with a collection of exciting movies lined up and fans can expect a big comeback, starting this December.

Don’t Look Up
‘Don’t Look Up’ is a dark comedy. This is Lawrence’s first collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio and director Adam McKay. McKay, who also helmed ‘The Big Short’, wrote and directed the screenplay for the satirical political film. Along with Lawrence and DiCaprio, the cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande, Ron Perlman, Matthew Perry, Mark Rylance and others.
The film is about two low-level astronomers (Lawrence and DiCaprio). The Earth is in a collision course with a comet that will destroy the planet. ‘Don’t Look Up’ will release in theatres on December 10 and Netflix on December 24, 2021.

Red, White and Water
‘Red, White, and Water’ is an upcoming drama film. Elizabeth Sanders, Luke Goebel, and Ottessa Moshfegh have written the storyline and Lila Neugebauer has directed the screenplay. ‘Red, White and Water’ is the story of a US soldier stationed in Afghanistan, struggling to adjust back to typical life after suffering from a traumatic brain injury during combat. The release date is currently set for sometime in 2022.

Bad Blood
Lawrence and McKay will reunite for the biographical drama film ‘Bad Blood’. Write Vanessa Taylor has adapted John Carreyrou’s book titled Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley startup.
‘Bad Blood’ revolves around entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes, who is the head of a biotech company. She led the company to become worth billions of dollars. However, a federal inquiry calls her ethics into question. The release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Mob Girl
‘Mob Girl’ is adapted from a book by Teresa Carpenter’s Mob Girl: A Woman’s life in the underworld. Lawrence will play mob moll Arlyne Brickman who became a police informant against the Colombo crime family. The biographical crime drama will star Lucas Royalty along with Lawrence. Paolo Sorrentino has directed the screenplay that he co-wrote with Angelina Burnett. Not much information is available about the film yet.

Untitled biopic of Sue Mengers
Sue Mengers was a widely known Hollywood agent. She entered into the male-dominated field and gathered a huge client base. She worked with stars like Barbra Streisand, Michael Caine, Brian De Palma, Faye Dunaway, Steve McQueen, Gene Hackman, Cher, among many others. Apple and Netflix got into a bidding war to acquire Lawrence’s unnamed biopic.

No Hard Feelings
‘No Hard Feelings’ is an R-rated comedy from Sony Pictures, directed by ‘The Office’ writer Gene Stupnitsky. The film is set in Montauk, New York. The release date has not been announced yet.
