“When I was going for my last audition, I was

little bit too honest,” Holland said on The Graham Norton Show
on Friday.

The ‘Spiderman’ added, “He goes, ‘You know what kid? I
think you’re going to get it.’ I’m like, ‘Really? Why?’ And I was excited to
hear that,” “He goes, ‘You know what? I think you’re gonna get
it because the kid that I just drove there, he is so good looking.'” “I
was like, ‘Jeez. Thank you, that’s exactly the confidence boost I need,'”

Holland scored the lead role in the film and his casting was revealed
to the public in June 2015. Consequently, he followed in the footsteps of Tobey

A report from The Hollywood Reporter suggested that several
big names including Asa Butterfield, Charlie Rowe, Charlie Plummer, Judah
Lewis, and Matthew Lintz were considered for the part.

Dune fame Timothee Chalamet also revealed auditioning for the role. However,
the 25-year-old actor did not make it very far in the process and eventually, the
role was bagged by Tom Holland.
