British supermodel Kate Moss, who briefly dated Hollywood actor Johnny Depp in the 90s, took the witness stand in the defamation trial between Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard on Wednesday.

Moss, who had no reason to appear in court until Heard brought her up during testimony earlier this month, was eagerly awaited by Depp’s attorneys in order to build a strong case for the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star.

“Amber mentioned an ex of Johnny’s that clearly she felt was not supportive of him, which couldn’t be further from the truth,” a source previously told The Post.

On Wednesday, the 48-year-old supermodel was questioned by Depp’s lawyer about a rumored incident that Heard had brought up previously during the trial. Earlier this month, the ‘Aquaman’ star had told the jury about an altercation between her sister and Depp in which she feared that the 58-year-old actor would push her sister down a staircase, adding that the incident reminded her of “Kate Moss and stairs.”

Responding to a question about the incident, Moss stated in a video testimony on Wednesday that she fell down the stairs because it was raining, clarifying that Depp never shoved her. She then revealed that she hurt her back during the fall and Depp came to her rescue.

“What happened when you were in Jamaica with Mr. Depp?” Depp’s lawyer asked.

“We were leaving the room and johnny left the room before I did and there had been a rainstorm and as I left the room I slid down the stairs and I hurt my back,” Moss answered, according to a report by Newsweek.

“And I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened to me and I was in pain and he came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention,” she continued.

When asked again if Depp pushed her “in any way down the stairs?”, Moss replied, “No he never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me down any stairs.”

Moss’ testimony comes as a big win for Depp’s legal team, helping them dispel allegations of domestic violence against the actor.
