The plot of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s ongoing defamation case only seems to thicken as more and more witnesses take the stand, bringing revelations to light.

On Thursday, Depp’s former agent, Tracey Jacobs testified in Virginia’s County Circuit Courthouse that the reasons behind the 58-year-old’s fall from grace are his anger issues, drug and alcohol use, and bratty behavior on sets.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million for allegedly defaming him in an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in which she referred to herself as a victim of domestic abuse. While she did not drop any names, Depp claims that the piece brought his Hollywood career to a dead end. Heard is countersuing the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star for $100 million. Both have accused each other of domestic abuse.

On Thursday, Jacob claimed that the actor’s “star had dimmed due to it getting harder to get to jobs, due to the reputation he had acquired due to his lateness and other things,” adding that  “people were talking and the question was out there about his behavior.”

Jacob said that during the filming of the fifth installment of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise,  Depp would often run late to the film sets, which resulted in people turning “reluctant to use him” in films.

When asked about the actor’s anger issues, the agent said that they only “worsened over time.”

Jacob further claimed that the actor would often use earpieces during work so he could hear and then speak his dialogues while shooting.

Although Jacob’s testimony could damage the case Depp has built, it still doesn’t support the allegation of him being a domestic abuser, with the agent stating that she has neither seen him hit a woman, nor observed any signs of abuse on Heard.
