“Our business is our business, none of your business”…might just become everybody’s business because according to media reports the fourth installment of the Race franchise is in the works.

According to a Pinkvilla report, the film is in the scripting stage and is being written by writer Shiraz Ahmed.

“Shiraz, who has worked on the earlier three installments of the film, is presently working on the fourth part. Producer Ramesh Taurani will zero in on a director soon and will get onto casting only after the final script is locked,” Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.

“The film is expected to roll by this year’s end, however, things also depend on the COVID-19 situation then,” the source further added.

However, it is yet to be ascertained whether Salman Khan (Race 3) or Saif Ali Khan (Race 1 and 2) will return for Race 4.

The first installment of the movie, directed by Abbas Mastan, featured Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and Anil Kapoor.

The film was made with a reported budget of Rs 46 crore and earned a reported amount of Rs 103.45 crore at the box office.

Race 2, released in 2013, featured Saif and Anil alongside John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernadez and Ameesha Patel. It had a reported budget of Rs 94 crores and earned a reported amount of Rs 180 crore at the box office.

However, in the third installment, the film featured Salman, Anil, Jacqueline, Bobby Deol and Daisy Shah. The Salman-starrer film was made with a reported budget of Rs 150 crore and earned a reported amount of Rs 303 crore.
