If you are also tired of rapper Bow Wow and Soulja Boy taking unreasonable swings at each other on social media time and again, then today is your lucky day. After almost a decade of social media trolling and face-offs, the American rappers had finally decided to go toe on toe with each other on Saturday in the Verzuz battle.

Verzuz is an American webcast series created by producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, that airs on Verzuz TV. The series invites two musicians, predominantly R&B and hip hop for a three-hour session where both present their best work and take upon each other. The music battles have gone largely virtual in the form of Instagram lives.

Rappers like Ashanti and Keyshia Cole, Jeezy and Gucci Mane, and E-40 and Too Short have all battled it out on Verzuz.

Even before the battle began, Soulja Boy took the opportunity to troll his opponent on social media. Soulja Boy commented on a Verzuz Instagram post, followed by a trail of cry-laughing emojis. “Soulja is the Ben Simmons of the rap game. Go rehearse and get off the internet,” Bow Wow shot back on Twitter.

While the rappers had let it all in the biggest rap faceoff of the decade, here is how Twitter liked their performance, Twitter style. See some great reactions here.

Bow Wow and Soulja Boy’s bitter-sweet relationship dates back over a decade. They first collaborated for Bow Wow’s 2008 single ‘Marco Polo’  which was supposed to be the lead single for Bow Wow’s New Jack City II album but was ultimately cut from the tracklist after a feud broke out between them at the end of that year.

The rap competition was telecasted on Pacific on Triller, Fite TV and the Verzuz Instagram page
