Music lovers are in for a treat as Desert Daze returns for its tenth edition this year. According to an announcement made by the organizers on Monday, the festival will take place from September 30 to October 2 in Lake Perris, California

The 2022 Desert Daze will finally feature Tame Impala returning with its headlining set after an extreme lightning storm forced the group to cancel in 2018. Four years down the line, the band will be performing its second album ‘Lonerism’ throughout the festival’s weekend. 

The music festival will also have Iggy Pop, King Gizzard, and the Lizard Wizard as the headliners, according to Billboard.

Artists such as Reggie Watts, The Marías, Mild High Club, Chicano Batman, Cortex, BADBADNOTGOOD, Surprise Chef, Cymande, Aldous Harding, Nation Of Language, Show Me The Body, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Nilüfer Yanya, Daniel Rossen Of Grizzly Bear and L.A. Witch, will also perform at the event.

The festival will be adorned with art installations by artists such as Slim Reaper, Tarik Barri, and Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show.

Apart from music, Desert Daze will also consist of screenings and discussions, including a screening and Q&A round of Hamilton’s ‘Pharmacopeia’ with host Hamilton Morris.

The session, based on the theme ‘Mysticism in the Music Industry’, will include New York based-occultist and artist Micki Pellerano and a few special guests.

Desert Daze will also open the campgrounds and welcome passengers with camping tickets to spend the weekend away with yoga, sound baths and exploration of the Outer Space. The Outer Space will include performances by Meatbodies, Frankie & the Witch Fingers, Acid Dad, Mauskovic Dance Band, and others. 

For the early birds, September 29 will be a bonus night of entertainment ahead of a fun-packed musical weekend.
