In a bombshell accusation, Prince Harry claimed that his brother Prince William attacked him after taking a dig at Meghan Markle. The allegations came in the Duke of Sussex’s new book, which also included other revelations regarding members of the royal family.

In the book Spare, Prince Harry claimed that he and Prince William – who is now first in line to the British throne after his father Prince Charles became king – got into a physical fight back in 2019. At the time, Kate Middleton’s husband launched an attack.

Prince Harry claims William grabbed him by the collar, ripped his necklace and knocked him to the ground during a fight in London, TMZ reported.

It is said that the alleged fight between the two erupted when William called Meghan “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive,” which Harry calls a “parrot[ing of] the press narrative” about his American wife.

Harry writes that William wanted to talk about “the whole rolling catastrophe” of their relationship and struggles with the press. However, when William arrived at Nottingham Cottage – where Harry was living at the time – he was, Harry says, already “piping hot.”

The moment William met Prince Harry, he started to complain about Meghan.

Harry claims he told his brother he was reiterating media narratives and expected better from William. However, the argument turned ugly and things got physical between the two.

Harry said that he was visibly injured to his back. Harry writes that William urged him to hit back.

When Meghan later noticed “scrapes and bruises” on his back, he told her of the attack. But Meghan was reportedly not “surprised,” and wasn’t all that angry. “She was terribly sad.”

The allegations in the book are likely to spark serious concern for the British royal family.
