Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White has been thrust into the spotlight after her professional partner, Pat Sajak announced that Monday that the show’s upcoming season will be his last as host.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all,” he said in a tweet.

Sajak joined the gameshow as its host in 1981, a year before White became a part of it. After Sajak’s announcement, fans took to social media to propose White as his replacement. White has already had experience briefly hosting the show when Sajak took time off in 2019 for medical reasons.

People were curious about White’s background. She was married to George Santo Pietro. They share two children together, Gigi Santo Pietro, and Nikko Santo Pietro.
