The movie Drishyam 2 has gained a lot of anticipation, and any new information about it is quickly becoming popular. The movie’s poster with Akshaye Khanna was posted by Tabu on Thursday, and it immediately went viral. Akshay Khanna is depicted on the poster looking intently towards the camera, with what appear to be chess pieces in the foreground.

On her Instagram page, Tabu shared a photo of the poster along with a caption. “Aapko khud deta hai dushman ko harane ka mauka aksar dushman” (Often the enemies themselves give you the chance to defeat them). Case reopens for Drishyam 2 on November 18, 2022,” the caption stated. It is a sequel to the first film of the franchise that was released in 2015, named Drishyam.

Drishyam 2 will be released in theaters on November 18, 2022.

Cast

Ajay Devgn will be reprising his role of Vijay Salgaonkar. Apart from him, the others who would be returning with their roles are Tabu, as Meera Deshmukh, Shriya Saran as Nandini Salgaonkar, Vijay’s wife, Mrunal Jadhav as Anu Salgaonkar, Ishita Dutta as Anju Salgaonka, and Rajat Kapoor as Mahesh Deshmukh.

Akshaye Khanna is a new addition in the cast of the Drishyam series.

Plot

Just like the Drishyam, the second entry in the series is also the remake of the renowned Malayalam film of the same name starring actor Mohanlal. 

The plot of the Drishyam 2 narrates a compelling story about an investigation that threatens a family. It will be based on events taking place six years after the story of Drishyam.

The Malayalam film, directed by Jeethu Joseph, followed the struggles of Georgekutty (Mohanlal) and his family, who became the subject of suspicion after the death of the Inspector General of Police’s son.

Abhishek Pathak, a well-known director and producer, is the director of the film.

The production companies of the Hindi sequel are Viacom18 Studios, T-Series, and Panorama Studios while the producers are Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.
