The managing director of music label company T-Series, Bhushan Kumar has been accused of rape by a 30-year-old woman. A case has been filed at DN Nagar Police station. The probe is underway and no arrests have been made till now, ANI reported, quoting police.

Who is Bhushan Kumar?

Born to the founder of  T-Series, owner Gulshan Kumar and Sudesh Kumari Dua, Bhushan has made several films such as ‘Tum Bin’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, ‘Patiala House’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Lucky: No Time for Love’.

Kumar took over T-Series in 1997 after his father, Gulshan, was murdered. He was 19-years-old. He went on to become the chairman and managing director of the music company.

Bhushan Kumar’s first produced a film, ‘Tum Bin’, in 2001. In 2013 he produced ‘Nautanki Saala’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’. He also produced ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ in 2014 and ‘Creature 3D’ starring Bipasha Basu and Imran Abbas. 

He is married to actor Divya Khosla and has a child named Ruhaan. 

In 2018, Kumar was accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous Twitter user as the #MeToo movement flared up. In a tweet, the actor said that she dropped out of the movie because she “refused to sleep with her boss.”

“When your life changes drastically due to some unwanted incidents happened in your life, that time you choose to go into depression. No one knows how badly these incidents affect your life. Sometimes we give up and we end up with our life! Feeling so depressed,” the actor had posted a message on Twitter.
