British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has revealed he’s collaborating with K-pop sensation BTS on their new record. Big Hit Entertainment, the septet group’s company, has confirmed the same, however, it didn’t say when the song will be released.

In an interview with the American radio show Most Requested Live, Sheeran said, “I’ve actually worked with BTS on their last record, and I’ve just written a song for their new record.”

“And they’re like super, super cool guys as well,” he added.

Meanwhile, a source from Big Hit confirmed to Newsen, “It is true that Ed Sheeran is participating in BTS’s new song.”

BTS’ ‘Butter‘, which is already topping charts for weeks, will be released on CD next month. Big Hit had earlier announced a new track that “will make your heart beat to the rhythm of BTS’ positive energy.” It isn’t clear that this track is the one on which BTS and Ed Sheeran collaborated.

“We cannot confirm the details,” said Big Hit when asked if the song will be released in July.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that the two have collaborated. In 2019, Ed Sheeran collaborated with the BTS on their song ‘Make It Right’ from their album Map Of The Soul: Persona. This will be their second collaboration.
