Pictures of Emilia Clarke shooting for Marvel’s upcoming web series Secret Invasion have been leaked. The Game of Thrones star has been filming in the UK for the Marvel Cinematic Universe series.

The pictures that have surfaced on social media reveal the actor’s look for her upcoming project. Emilia is dressed in a long coat, trousers and boots, carrying a red duffel bag and walking across the street. 

Emilia is well known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the Game of Thrones, HBO’s successful fantasy series for eight seasons that ran from 2011 to 2019. Her role in Secret Invasion marks her return to the small screen post this successful role.

Emilia can be seen shooting in the UK along with her cast and crew. According to some pictures doing the rounds of social media, Emilia is shooting for the series with  MCU veteran Samuel L Jackson who plays Nick Fury in the franchise. The filming is also believed to be taking place in Leeds city centre, which has been made to look like a Russian street.

Secret Invasion is being produced by Marvel Studios for Disney plus Hotstar. The series also stars Samuel L Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn and Cobie Smulders. It is based on the Marvel Comic series also called Secret Invasion and focuses on a long-term invasion of Earth by a group of alien shapeshifters called the Skrulls. The Skrulls are believed to have replaced many Marvel superheroes.

Though details of her role remains unclear, Emilia Clarke expressed her excitement to be part of the six-episode series that will premiere in late 2022.  “To be part of that family feels like ‘Oh my god, I’m in the cool kid crowd. That’s so cool’. Honestly speaking, the people that are making this are what pushed me over the line to really wanting to do it. I just think that everyone’s heart and heads are in the right place with this one,” she said.
