Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are getting married in the midst of the Bollywood wedding season. After much speculation, Bollywood’s famed lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar (Farhan Akhtar’s father) confirmed the couple will get married on February 12 and said that it will be a ‘simple affair’. He also said that the wedding will not be held in Mumbai or at a swanky hotel; instead, it will be held at Javed’s home in Khandala to give it a more personal touch.

About the guest list, Javed Akhtar said that they cannot host anything on a large scale due to the current situation, so they will be only calling a few people, and it will be a very simple affair. Javed Akhtar also said that invitation cards have not been sent yet.

When the legendary lyricist was asked about welcoming Shibani Dandekar into the family, he said she is a very nice girl and the family likes her very much and added that Farhan and she get along very well, which is great.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have been dating for almost three years and have finally decided to ring the wedding bells this month. They’ve been giving fans relationship goals with their PDA moments since they made it official.

Farhan Akhtar is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter, playback singer, producer and television host who works in Hindi films. He is the son of screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani. He established a production company named Excel Entertainment along with Ritesh Sidhwani in 1999. He made his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai in 2001 and won the National Award for Best Hindi Film the next year.
