Biopic of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, the film will release on April 23.

The ‘Queen’ actor released the statement after trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that ‘Thalaivi’ will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on April 23 as planned. Many big production houses have pushed their release dates due to surge in coronavirus cases.

Replying to Adarsh, Kangana wrote that she will ‘save Bollywood’ with her Rs 100 crore movie. “Bollywood ke thekedaars Karan Johar and Aadiya Chopra are hiding,” said the actor, adding they ganged up against her and harassed her. 

Arvind Swami, Nassar, Bhagyashree, Raj Arjun, Poorna and Madhu Bala are also part of ‘Thalaivi’, which will release in three languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
