Sima Taparia is back with Season 2 of the popular Netflix show Indian Matchmaking. The new season with eight episodes will premiere on August 10. The recently-launched trailer shows the popular matchmaker from Mumbai announce: “I am back”.
The trailer also gave a sneak peek of Sima’s clients who will be there in the show to find their spouses.
The second season doesn’t seem very different from the first. Both will will feature clients from India and the US. The trailer revealed that the audience will get to see a few familiar faces from Season 1, while a host of new ones will be introduced.
Pradhyuman Maloo, Aparna Shewakramani and Nadia Jagessar will be back as they have not given up the hope of finding someone through “Sima aunty”. The names and details of the new entrants have not been revealed in the trailer but we could see them demanding their perfect match.
Pradhyuman Maloo is a jewelry designer who was extremely picky, rejecting dozens of matches that Sima got him throughout Season 1. Things didn’t work out well between Pradhyuman and model Rushali and they had given up. So, Pradhyuman is back again in the new season to find the right match.
Nadia Jagessar was matched with Shekhar, a Chicago-based lawyer in Season 1 of the show. It seemed like a perfect match, but things must have changed and Nadia, the beautiful Guyanese with Indian roots, is back in Season 2.
Aparna, the Houston-based lawyer, drifted from all her promises with Jay Wadhani and she is back again in this new season looking for a suitable man.

In Season 2, Sima Taparia will be managing expectations from both old and new clients. The trailer of this new season also showed clients delivering their wish-lists ranging from man-buns to ovo-lacto-semi-vegetarian diet, five-foot-eight to a shared love of Taco Bell. With decades of experience and insightful intuition of traditional matchmaking, Sima will be back displaying her matchmaking skills in Season 2.
