Wayne Brady has opened up about his sexuality, announcing that he identified as pansexual. In an interview with People that was released on August 7, the “Let’s Make a Deal” presenter recalled having to battle with humiliation and hiding his sexuality for years. In an article, Brady, 51, said, “I am pansexual.”

Wayne Brady, 50, has been married twice before but isn’t currently married. Brady was married to Diana Lasso, a singer, from 1993 to 1995. In an interview with Closer Weekly in 2019, Brady looked back on how their immaturity might have contributed to the collapse of the marriage.

“My first wife is a great person, but you should not be getting married when you’re 20 or 21 because you still don’t know yourself. I think the lesson was not to rush into things,” he said.

From 1999 to 2008, Brady was married to actress Mandie Taketa, and it was during this time that the couple’s daughter Maile Masako Brady was born. In keeping with her actor parents’ tradition, Maile, now 19, most recently portrayed Tiffany on the CBS serial opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

Brady, who is currently unmarried, revealed he and Taketa are still close and were even quarantining with her partner, Jason, in April 2020, during the COVID-19 epidemic.

“My ex-wife Mandie and I, we have a different and I think a very special relationship than a lot of people who co-parent. We’ve also lived like seven minutes away from each other at the most,” he said in an interview with Access Hollywood.

“Right now, we live literally next door to each other. So our quarantining is a little different. We quarantine between both of our homes and I’ve got a big backyard and lots of land so we both share this land and this space.”
