Kenyatta Scott Sr,, the father of slain rapper JayDaYoungan, has told TMZ that he and his son were ambushed by five gunmen in the front yard of their home on Wednesday. Scott, who is himself at the hospital, recuperating from the injuries he sustained, had also shot back at the gunmen in a bid to protect himself and his son.
Scott further added that while three armed men jumped off from a black van that pulled up in their front yard, two came from behind the house and attacked JayDaYoungan when he ran inside for safety. The rapper’s father is of the opinion that the shooting was not related to gang violence, but was instead carried out by people who were jealous of his son’s success.
