Director Jordan Peele’s movie ‘Nope‘ is set to release on July 22, and ahead of the premiere, the 43-year-old opened up on his plans after his third feature.

Initially, the other half of comic duo Key and Peele had said he’d five “social thrillers” planned after ‘Get Out’ released five years back. Since then, Peele’s ‘Us’ hit the theatres and ‘Nope’ is next. That’d mean the director has two more films to go before calling it quits, but Peele is likely to increase his body of work.

Speaking to the Associated Press, he said “I feel like I’m off to the races”, adding, “I just don’t know if I could limit how many films I have that are me. I’m starting to lose sight of what I would be doing if I wasn’t doing movies like this. So I would say the project has extended.”

While his statement indicates that Peele will be making movies beyond his five-film plan, there are questions about whether there’ll be a ‘Get Out’ sequel, the film that won him acclaim as a horror director to watch out for.

He told AP, “I do get asked [about making a ‘Get Out’ sequel] a lot”, adding, “Never say never. There’s certainly a lot to talk about left. We’ll see.” The movie marked his directorial debut and earned four Oscar nominations including best director and picture. Peele won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay at the 2018 Oscars

The director also opened up about his fourth film when asked by Variety, saying “I always have something I’m working on that I’m trying to figure out. As time goes by, the world gives me awfulness to interpret.”

As per Peele, ‘Nope’ is “a big summer blockbuster that you can enjoy whatever you want to. If you want to go in and you just smoked a big blunt and you want to go talk to your friends about societal issues, you can do that. If you want to come and relax and get away from it all and see Keke Palmer in the midst of a UFO, that’s what we got for you. Watch however you want.”
