The Crown Prosecution Service announced on Wednesday that actor Kevin Spacey will face an additional seven sexual assault charges in the United Kingdom.

Prosecutors said the charges will stem from alleged incidents in 2001 and 2004, with one victim. Prosecutors said Spacey will face three counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.

Rosemary Ainslie, director of the CPS Special Crime Division, released a statement on Wednesday saying, “The Crown Prosecution Service reminds those concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are underway and that he has the right to a fair trial.”

In both the UK and the US, sexual assault allegations and charges have been made against Spacey, 63.

In a civil sexual assault case brought by fellow actor Anthony Rapp in New York City, he was found not at fault in October.

After being officially charged with multiple counts of sexual assault by the Metropolitan Police, Spacey appeared in a London court in July to enter a not guilty plea. Prosecutors said the previously disclosed allegations included one count of inciting someone to engage in penetrative sexual behaviour without consent and four counts of sexual assault against three males.

Spacey said he will “voluntarily” appear in court in London in a May interview with “Good Morning America.”

“I very much appreciate the Crown Prosecution Service’s statement in which they carefully reminded the media and the public that I am entitled to a fair trial, and innocent until proven otherwise, while I am disappointed with their decision to move forward, I will voluntarily appear in the U.K. as soon as can be arranged and defend myself against these charges, which I am confident will prove my innocence,” Spacey told GMA.

Spacey is best known for his roles in the Oscar-winning films American Beauty and The Usual Suspects, as well as the hit US political thriller series House Of Cards. Between 2004 and 2015, he served as artistic director at the Old Vic.
