Raman Raghav actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui lashed out at the celebrities posting vacation pictures on social media as the country is reeling under the COVID-19 pandemic, reports SpotBoyE. The 46-year-old actor said people in the country do not have enough to eat and these celebrities are throwing away money.

Several Bollywood stars including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani flew away to the Maldives during the second wave of the coronavirus infection in the country. When asked to comment on the pictures some of these celebrities posted on social media, Siddiqui said, “These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo. Perhaps going on holiday is not so wrong as showing off about it?”

Further commenting on the number of celebrities, who chose to ‘blow off some steam’ at Maldives, Nawaz said that the vacations should be kept personal. He asked the celebrities ‘to have a heart’ and not ‘taunt those who are suffering’.
“But what else will they talk about? Acting? They will run out of steam in two minutes. In logon ne, Maldives ko tamasaha bana rakha hai. I don’t know what their arrangement is with the tourism industry. But for the sake of humanity, please keep these vacations to yourself. There is suffering everywhere. The cases of COVID are multiplying. Have a heart. Please don’t taunt those who are suffering,” the actor told the media outlet.

He further added, “As a community, we entertainers in India need to grow up.”
Nawazuddin Siddiqui plans to stay in his hometown, Budhana in Uttar Pradesh.
