The Disney+ 2023 preview trailer has featured the first clip from Loki Season 2, which finds Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson back in their mischievous ways. The Loki footage depicts the adored anti-hero, played by Hiddleston, getting into trouble in the Time Variance Authority.

At this year’s D23 Expo, Marvel Studios exclusively revealed the teaser for Loki Season 2, announcing the return of key first-season cast members and the introduction of several new ones. Although the precise plot is still a secret, early footage suggested that the Season 1 finale cliffhanger will be resolved.

Additionally, Loki actor Tom Hiddleston hinted that Season 2 would centre on the struggle for the TVA’s soul.

In the sneak peek for Season 2, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, and Mobius, portrayed by Owen Wilson, are seen working together as covert agents on an unidentified TVA (Time Variance Authority) operation.

Intriguingly, the brief footage also features two additional Loki Variants in addition to Loki and Mobius. It’s unclear whether Loki is employing his abilities or if the TVA has added additional Variants of the God of Mischief to their ranks.

Since it’s not known, Loki may have previously attempted to explain to Mobius what He Who Remains taught him in the finale, but it appears that he is taking a deliberate approach by first joining this new TVA before overthrowing it from within.

This enables Loki to completely understand how this TVA functions while still getting very near to (and hopefully succeeding in) regaining Mobius’ memory of the earlier timeline in order to gain a useful ally against Kang.

On the same day as the Season 1 conclusion in July of last year, Disney+ renewed Loki  for Season 2. Over the summer, work for the second season got underway. According to Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, “Loki ” is the most popular Marvel programme on Disney+. All of the second season’s episodes are written by season one writer Eric Martin, and most of them are directed by “Moon Knight” directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
