After years of acting, producing, singing and writing, Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra set foot in the food industry last year and set up ‘Sona’, an Indian restaurant located in the heart of New York City.

One year down the line, Chopra is relishing the fruits of labor and celebrating the restaurant’s first anniversary.

A video uploaded by the 39-year-old on Instagram features glimpses of the restaurant’s delicacies, ambiance, decor and patrons. The short clip also displays Indian food items including dosa, curries, chaat, naan and dahi puri.

“What started for me as another way to introduce modern India to the West, turned into an incredibly fun, cool, and awesome spot in the heart of NYC where you can let your hair down and explore culinary delights and cocktails that are so synonymous with us. As Sona turns a year old today, I couldn’t be more proud,” Chopra wrote in the caption of the video.
