Nashville rapper Young Buck was arrested in his hometown in Tennessee on Wednesday morning for allegedly trashing his ex-girlfriend’s car.

Young Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, was put into the Davidson County jail in Nashville after police arrested him on a vandalism charge against the 40-year-old.

As per the Metro Nashville police’s arrest warrant, Brown’s ex-girlfriend put in a domestic disturbance complaint, leading to a police response.

When police reached the woman’s home in Rockland Trial, Brown had already left.

However, she alleged that Brown had announced that he was coming over via text and had tried to kick her door down when she refused to let him in. The 40-year-old rapper also damaged the woman’s car, which police confirmed at her home.

Subsequently, the vehicle that Brown was using was identified and pulled over at a traffic stop, leading to the rapper’s arrest.

Although Brown was booked into the Davidson County jail at around 6.45am local time, he was released hours later at 10am after he posted bail.

Brown’s arrest in Nashville is the latest in a series of legal problems that have left the rapper beleaguered over the past few years.

The 40-year-old had been arrested in 2016 and sentenced to seven months in federal prison for violating his probation in a verbal assault case involving his girlfriend.

Subsequently, in 2019, Brown spent Christmas locked up at the Cheatham County jail for evading an arrest warrant stemming from a child abandonment charge.

Less than a year later, in October 2020, he was again arrested in Tennessee on charges of domestic assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and vandalism.

Brown was a part of 50 Cent’s hip-hop group G-Unit between 2003 and 2008, and again from 2014 to 2018, when the group finally disbanded. He heads his own record label, named Cashville.
