Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon, who adopted adopted two daughters, Pooja and Chhaya, at the age of 21, talked about being a grandmother at the age of 46.

Her elder daughter was 11-year-old when the actor adopted her and is a mother now. Raveena said though she was like a mother figure to her, the bond they share is more of friendship. “ We actually just have an 11-year gap between us. She’s had her baby, so she’s more like a friend, but technically, I am a mom-like figure to her in her life. That’s what equates to being a grandmom, so that’s how it is”, the actor added.

Talking more about her kids at such young age, the 90s superstar said that adopting Pooja and Chhaya in 1995 was the best decision of her life. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Raveena said, “Back then people were apprehensive on my decision and said no one would want to marry someone with this ‘baggage.’ But as they say, what is destined to be, it will happen. I couldn’t have been more blessed,”

Raveena is married to film distributor Anil Thadani. The couple has two children of their own- Rasha and Ranbirvardhan. Whereas her adopted daughters, Chhaya is an air hostess, and Pooja an event manager.

Raveena will be next seen in the most awaited movie ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Kannada superstar Yash plays the lead role and the film will also feature Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role.
