WWE Hall of Famer Ric Johnson Flair is coming out of retirement for one last fight. The match -publicised last May as “Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair’s Last Match” has fans speculating about Nature Boy’s final opponent.

Recently, additional details about the fight were made public. Ric Flair and Jay Lethal engaged in a brutal altercation in a promotional video, which gave rise to the notion that Flair would face Lethal in the main event.  

A few seconds after the verbal spat, however, fellow Hall-of-Famer and current WWE executive Jeff Jarrett attacked Flair and his wife, adding to the suspense. As a child, Jay Lethal was Flair’s biggest fan, always dreaming of meeting his hero. While Jarret and Flair would share the stage during the 1980s and 1990s.

Before that, the couple had attempted to assist Flair, but the Nature Boy tossed insults at Jarrett and his family. Further, rumours are swirling that Andrade El Idolo-Ric Flair’s son-in-law- might be his unexpected partner in what appears to be a tag team match.

Ric Flair acknowledged having foot pain. Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, he admitted to its debilitating effects but confirmed that he would fight no matter what. The fight, scheduled to take place on July 31st at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Tennessee, will be broadcast on FiteTV, and you can pre-order tickets on their website right now.  

Flair is twice World Heavyweight Champion in the WWF/E, seven-time WCW Heavyweight champion, and a ten-time belt holder in the NWA. He has had several health issues over the past few years. In 2017 and 2019, he underwent hospitalisation. In addition, he had bowel surgery, which brought on kidney failure and required dialysis.
