The first teaser of ‘Saina’, biopic of badminton player Saina Nehwal, released on Thursday and a day later the former world champion shared a snapshot from the film and gave a shoutout to actor Parineeti Chopra, who will be portraying Nehwal in the lead role. The movie is scheduled to hit the screens this month.

“Wowww … mini saina… love the look… @parineetichopra,” Nehwal captioned a still from the biopic featuring Chopra as a younger version of her.
On Thursday, Nehwal also shared the poster of the film on her social media handles. “I wish u all the very best my sweet saina.. Great poster @parineetichopra,” she wrote on Instagram.

Nehwal also reacted to the trailer of ‘Saina’ and wrote on Twitter that it made her proud to see her national flag ‘soar high’, referring to the scene in which Chopra is wrapping the Tricolour on her shoulders.
Nehwal has won over 24 international titles that consist of 11 Superseries titles. In 2015, she became the only female player in India and overall the second Indian player to attain the world number one ranking.
Meanwhile, Chopra was seen in the recently released film ‘The Girl On The Train’ on Netflix.
