Actor Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata Dutt, on Tuesday, said that her husband will complete his preliminary treatment at Mumbai itself.

“Sanjay will complete his preliminary treatment in Mumbai. We will formulate further plans of travel depending on how and when the COVID situation eases. As of now, he is in the best hands of our esteemed doctors at Kokilaben hospital”, Maanayata said in a statement reported by ANI.

The ‘Sadak’ actor was earlier spotted leaving his residence for Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. As he left for the hospital, he said “Pray for me”.

The 61-year-old had announced he was taking a leave from work owing to his health on August 11.

“Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon,” the actor has tweeted.

Following this, several media report suggested that he was diagnosed with lung cancer. However, Maanayata released a separate statement urging fans not to fall prey to rumors.

Sanjay Dutt will be next seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s film ‘Sadak 2’, along with Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur.
