Supreme Court, on Friday, dismissed a petition filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka
Singh challenging the Bombay High Court’s refusal to dismiss FIR filed against
her by Mumbai Police on actor Rhea Chakraborty’s complaint.

On February 15, Bombay High Court had  observed that
there was a prima facie case found against Priyanka , in FIR lodged
against her by  Rhea alleging
criminal conspiracy and abetment to suicide of Sushant.

A three-judge Bench of CJI Bobde, Justice
Bopanna and Justice Ramasubramanian heard the plea on Friday.

Rhea’s lawyer expressed his joy said in a statement, “We
are overwhelmed by the order of the Honble Supreme Court. Justice Prevails in
India ??. We bow
down to the Judicial System in our Country. Truth Alone Triumphs. Satya Mev
Jayate. Satish Maneshinde Advocate.”

Sushant died by suicide on June 14.

Last month, the Bombay High Court had endorsed the case against Priyanka but had dismissed another against Sushant Singh Rajput’s other sister Mitu Singh

The sisters were accused of forgery and violation of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act based on complaints by Rhea, who dated the actor.
