Takeoff, a popular US rapper from the group Migos, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas, at the age of 28. The musician was killed on November 1 while playing dice with his uncle and bandmate Quavo at a bowling alley. A fight started at the bowling alley, 810 Billiards & Bowling, around 2:30 in the morning (local time).

Why Cardi B unfollowed Migos?

The pop group, which was formerly known as Polo Club, made their debut in 2010 as Migos and scored their first hit with Versace in 2013, which Drake remixed. One of the most well-known groups of their generation, Migos invented the “Migos flow,” a choppy, staccato triplet rapping technique. Previously, Migos comprised of Takeoff, Quavo, and Cardi B’s husband, Offset. In addition to Bad and Boujee, Versace, and Walk It Talk It, the band, which broke up earlier this year, also had a number of other international hits.

However, the band split up earlier this year following a disagreement with Offset. Speculation about the future of Migos began in May 2022 as a result of members’ dubious social media behaviour. Quavo and Takeoff were unfollowed by Cardi B and Offset in May of this year on Instagram. Since their debut, the group has been close-knit, but the news that Cardi B and Offset unfollowed each other without any apparent reason led some fans to believe that Offset was leaving the group.

The group then made headlines by postponing their performance at the Governors Ball in 2022 for the following month. Quavo and Takeoff acknowledged a falling out with Offset during their interview with the “Big Facts” podcast, but they were reticent to discuss the specifics of their disagreement. Offset started focusing on his solo career while Quavo and Takeoff continued to advance in their joint careers.

Sadly, on November 1, it was revealed that Takeoff had been fatally shot at a Houston, Texas, bowling alley. The news was announced only a few days after he and Quavo’s new song, Messy, music video, was made available.
