Taylor Swift has now announced her upcoming album Midnights while accepting her third Video Of The Year at the 2022 MTV VMAs. “And I’ll tell you more at midnight”, the 32-year-old said, while announcing that her forthcoming album would release on October 21. However, it is available for pre-order now, as the American singer-songwriter noted in a tweet.

Swift also teased her upcoming album in an Instagram story, which shows a clock at 11:59 and the ticking sound can be heard before it turns 12.

“Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life”, Swift has written, adding, “Meet me at midnight”.

Swift’s last album was Red (Taylor’s version) which was a re-recording of some of her previous works and came out in 2021. The new album seems to be one of self-discovery as the description suggests. There are a total of 13 songs with six on Side A and the rest on Side B. Incidentally, 13 is also Swift’s lucky number.
