The comment section of the account was flooded with fans saying how excited they are for season 5 and that they can’t wait for it to arrive.

According to reports, Bigg Boss Telugu 5 is likely to premiere in the second week of September. There were rumours that the makers and producers were mulling postponing the premiere of the show to a later date due to a second wave of the COVID-19.

However, with other reality TV shows such as MasterChef Telugu and Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu coming to the screen soon, the makers of Bigg Boss Telugu decided to set the ball rolling at the earliest.

Reportedly, superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni was supposed to be replaced by some other actor with the makers approaching other biggies in the industry. Rana Daggubati was approached, but he turned down the offer.

However, media reports revealed that he is likely to return to the show as the host for the fifth season. He has been associated with the show since its third season and his seasons have done well in TRP charts. Before him, Jr NTR and Nani were the hosts of the show.

The last season was launched on September 6, 2020. It concluded on December 20, 2020. The fourth edition saw actor Abhijeet Duddala lift the Bigg Boss trophy. Siva Balaji, Kaushal Manda and Rahul Sipligunj were the previous winners of the famous reality show.

A certain section of the media also suggests that the upcoming season will be made on a grand scale with the makers aiming to make it more fun for both the audience and the contestants. And in order to maintain the secrecy of the project, the number of people associated with the production has been reduced.
