Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was given a ten-year prison term on Tuesday for shooting Megan Thee Stallion and causing her injuries.

Judge David Herriford was supposed to pronounce Lanez’s sentence, which was initially set for Monday. But the proceedings dragged on for a protracted two-day session. The judge then requested that both sides’ attorneys make arguments concerning various elements of Lanez’s potential punishment. Furthermore, seven witnesses including Lanez’s father and the mother of his 6-year-old son gave testimony in Lanez’s favor.

However, the testimony did not make the case as the rapper was served a ten-year prison term in the case. As the rapper made the headlines, several internet users have shown interest in his personal life.
