Veteran Bollywood actor Randhir Kapoor tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital, reported PTI on Thursday. The 74-year-old is being treated at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The doctor who treated Kapoor, Dr Santosh Shetty told PTI that the actor is “stable” and that there was nothing to worry about. “He was admitted to the hospital last night for COVID-19 treatment. He remains stable, there’s nothing to worry”, said Dr Shetty.

Randhir Kapoor is the eldest son of legendary actor late Raj Kapoor. His brothers, Rishi Kapoor died at 67 in 2020 and Rajiv Kapoor at 58 in 2021 at 58. Rishi died after battling cancer, while Rajiv died due to a heart attack in February, this year. Raj Kapoor died in 1988 and his wife Krishna Raj Kapoor in 2018.

Randhir caught public’s attention after he was spotted at his former wife Babita’s birthday party at his daughter Kareena Kapoor’s new house a few weeks ago. His other daughter Karishma Kapoor was also spotted in the get-together.

Randhir is notably known for his appearance in movies such as ‘Kal Aaj Aur Kal’, ‘Jeet’, ‘Jawani Diwani’, ‘Lafange’, ‘Raampur Ka Lakshman Haath Ki Safai’. His daughters Karishma and Kareena are also Bollywood actors.
