Paris Hilton has announced the name of her newborn son, whom she and husband Carter Reum welcomed back in January. “My beautiful baby boy’s name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum. Carter and I are so proud to welcome him into the world,” she said during the February 22 edition of her This is Paris podcast.

Paris Hilton is a media personality, entrepreneur, fashion icon and entertainer. Hilton said her son is named for the Arizona city and is hoping to continue the tradition by naming her future daughter London. “I’ve been planning my children’s names for years and years,” she said, adding that Phoenix stands for “hope, rebirth and transformation.” She also revealed her desire to name her future children after places, much like herself.

Phoenix is an immortal bird associated with Greek mythology. It has become increasingly popular as given name in recent years. It ranks among the top 200 names for boys in the United States.

On her podcast, Hilton also revealed that her son’s middle name is after her later grandfather, hotel tycoon Barron Hilton. “He was always my mentor, and I looked up to my grandfather so much, and we were so close, and I miss him every day, so I really wanted to honour him by having his name in my first son’s name,” she said.

In 2019, Hilton was linked to Carter Reum. The couple got engaged in February 2021. In November 2021, they got married.

Reum is a businessman and author. He co-founded VEEV Spirits, a vodka brand, along with his brother Courtney Reum. The brothers have co-wrote the book Shortcut Your Startup: Ten Ways to Speed Up Entrepreneurial Success.
