Dancing with the Stars season 31 concluded on November 21 and a new celebrity has been crowned the reality show’s winner. TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and her partner Mark Ballas were named DWTS season 31 champions after 10 weeks of competition.

They defeated former Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars runner-up Gabby Windey and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, actor and TV host Wayne Brady and partner Witney Carson (who finished third) and drag queen superstar Shangela and partner Gleb Savchenko (who finished fourth).

Charli D’Amelio

Charli D’Amelio, born May 1, 2004, is a social media personality from the United States. She was a competitive dancer for over ten years before beginning her social media career in 2019 by posting dance videos on the video-sharing platform TikTok. She quickly grew a large following and was the most-followed creator on the platform from March 2020 until July 2022, when she was surpassed by Khaby Lame.

D’Amelio made her feature film debut in the 2020 animated film StarDog and TurboCat with a voice role. She has appeared in Hulu docuseries, The D’Amelio Show, and Snap Original reality show Charli vs. Dixie since 2021. D’Amelio appeared as a celebrity contestant alongside Mark Ballas in the thirty-first season of the dance competition series Dancing with the Stars in 2022.

Mark Ballas

Mark Alexander Ballas Jr., born May 24, 1986, is a dancer, choreographer, singer-songwriter, musician, and actor from the United States. Ballas was born in Houston, Texas, the son of Corky and Shirley Ballas, both dancers. He is primarily of English descent.

Ballas is a professional ballroom dancer who competes on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. He debuted on the show in season five in the fall of 2007, and in 2011 he was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Choreography. In March 2011, Ballas released his first solo CD, HurtLoveBox.
