Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, a US reality television couple, were sentenced to years in prison on November 21, five months after being found guilty of federal fraud and hiding their wealth from tax authorities. According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie was sentenced to seven years.

In June, the couple was found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud. Prosecutors claimed they falsified documents in order to obtain $30 million in bank loans, then defaulted on more than $20 million in debt when Todd Chrisley declared bankruptcy in 2012. They also hid millions of dollars earned from the show from the IRS, according to the federal jury.

Todd stated on his show “Chrisley Knows Best” that he has accepted long-held, false rumours that he is gay, “I’m flattered that people think I can get laid on both ends of the spectrum. So that doesn’t bother me, and my wife is certainly flattered that as many men as women want her husband.”

Julie Chrisley is also from South Carolina and the daughter of a Baptist minister. Todd is Julie’s second husband, following her first marriage to her high school boyfriend. She also appears in What’s Cooking with Julie Chrisley, a web series that debuted on the USA Network website.

The reality star has been accused of making up facts about her early life. She stated that she won the title of Miss South Carolina as a teenager. However, that claim was found to be false.
