Ronnie Turner, Tina Turner’s son has died at 62. The announcement of his death was made by his wife.

Afida Turner, Ronnie Turner’s wife, shared a tribute to her husband Friday morning on her Instagram page, calling him a “true angel” and “my best friend.”

“I did the best to the end this time I was no[t] able to save you. Love you for… 17 years this is very very very bad and I am very mad. This is a tragedy u with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in paradise… So unfair,” she added, alluding to Craig Turner, who died by suicide in 2018, and Tina’s sister Alline, who died in 2010.

Who is Afida Turner?

Afida Turner is a French singer and actress who was born Hafidda Messaï on December 22, 1976, in Auchel, France.

Her singing career started in the 1990s and she released the song Crazy About You in 1998. However, her claim to fame was in 2002 when she appeared in the second season of Loft Story, a reality show. She played the role of Lesly. In the same year, she was signed with Sony Music and released her first album called Rock Attitude under the pseudonym Lesly Mess.

She also starred in a number of movies including Shut Up and Shoot (2006), The Sweep (2008), and Single Black Female (2009). 

In 2011, she released the singles Come With Me, Born an Angel, from her studio album Paris-Hollywood.

This year she starred in the stageplay Requiem for une conne (2022). She also released the single Étienne.  

In the past, before she got married to musician Ronnie Turner in 2007, she had a relationship with Coolio, which lasted for two years. She has also briefly dated boxer Mike Tyson. After marrying Ronnie, she started using the name Afida Turner.
