The iconic singer Tina Turner’s son, Ronnie Turner, died aged 62.

In an Instagram post, Ronnie’s wife, the French singer Afida Turner, announced her husband’s passing and referred to him as “a true angel” and her “best friend.”

“I did the best to the end this time I was no[t] able to save you. Love you for… 17 years this is very very very bad and I am very mad,” she wrote. “This is a tragedy u with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in paradise… So unfair.”

Afida, who married Ronnie in 2007, was alluding to the suicide death of Craig, his older brother, in 2018. Craig died in 2018. Ike Turner, Ronnie’s father, died in 2007, while Alline Bullock, Tina’s sister, died in 2010.

Who is Tina Turner?

Tina Turner is a Swiss-American singer and songwriter best known for her powerful and soulful voice. Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Nutbush, Tennessee, she was raised by her grandmother in a small rural town. Tina Turner’s husband is Erwin Bach, a German-born record executive. The two met in 1985 at a party and began a romantic relationship a few years later. They got married in 2013 in a private ceremony at their home in Switzerland.
