Burt Bacharach, one of pop music’s greatest composers, has died aged 94. He was a proud recipient of Oscars, Emmys, and Grammys. Some of his memorable musical compositions are What The World Needs Now, Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head, Walk On By, and Say A Little Prayer. Bacharach died on Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles of natural causes, his publicist Tina Brausam said. He was married four times throughout his life and had four children.

Who is Angie Dickinson?

Burt Bacharach’s second marriage came in 1965. He married actress Angie Dickinson and the couple had one daughter Nikki. Dickinson is an actor, who appeared in a number of major films and television shows like Gun the Man Down, Rio Bravo, and Dressed to Kill. She received the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Year for her performance in Rio Bravo.

Dickinson was born on September 30, 1931, in Kulm, North Dakota, United States. She studied at Immaculate Heart College, Los Angeles. In 1954, she became a business graduate from Glendale Community College. She was married to former football player Gene Dickinson from 1952 to 1960.

She had affairs with Frank Sinatra and reportedly John F Kennedy. Dickinson denied the affair with Kennedy or refused to talk on the subject.

She married Burt Bacharach in 1965. Burt and Angie divorced after 15 years in 1981. The couple’s only daughter died by suicide in January 2007 at 40 years of age.

In her career spanning over 60 years from 1954 to 2009, she appeared in more than 50 films including China Gate, Ocean’s 11, The Sins of Rachel Cade, Jessica, Captain Newman, MD, The Killers, The Art of Love, The Chase, Point Blank, Pretty Maids All in a Row, The Outside Man, and Big Bad Mama.

Dickinson played Sergeant Pepper Anderson in the NBC crime series Police Woman from 1974 to 1978, for which she received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. She’s also been nominated for three Primetime Emmys.
