Billie Eilish sparked dating rumors with alt-rock singer Jesse Rutherford after the two were seen holding hands at Universal Studios Hollywood.

On Friday, a fan posted a social media video of the two singers in which Billie and Jesse walk off with a group that’s trailing them.

Eilish was previously scheduled to perform in South America for her Where Do We Go? World Tour, but it was canceled in March 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Who is Billie Eilish?

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell was born on December 18, 2001 in Los Angeles, California to Maggie Baird and Patrick O’ Connell. Both her parents are influential American actors and popular figures in the American entertainment industry. Her parents are musicians as well and have helped her on her tours. She grew up in the Highland Park of Los Angeles, California.

Her brother Finneas O’ Connel has been a huge influence in her life musically. Additionally her parents would write songs and play music, which engendered her interest in music. 

Eilish and Finneas were homeschooled, a decision made by their mother in order to spend more time with her children and also help them pursue their interests. At the age of eight, Eilish joined a choir and remained with them for three years. She started writing and composing her own music at the age of eleven. 

Finneas, who had a band of his own, wrote a song called Ocean Eyes and asked Eilish to record the song. The song was uploaded on soundcloud and it became a major overnight sensation. Eilish later released an EP of the same name, inspired by her debut single.

She continued to release several singles such as Bored and Lovely featuring Khalid, both of which made it to the official playlist of Netflix hit series 13 Reasons Why. 

Her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was released on March 29, 2019. This album peaked the Billboard Top 200 and UK album chart, making her the first millennial in the US and the youngest female in the UK to achieve this. 

She followed this with a Where Do We Go? world tour in September 2019, but is got postponed in March of 2020. 

Her second album Happier Than Ever was released on July 30, 2021 which achieved the feat as her debut album and was appreciated by critics as well. 

Eilish has earned seven Grammy victories in her young career, and she has been nominated for the same award 17 times. 

Eilish and her brother Finneas share their passion for music, and Finneas has had a huge influence on Eilish’s music. They both started with composing music in a studio inside their bedroom, and they have evolved as musicians together. 

Eilish has also been open about her struggle with Tourette syndrome. ‘They are exhausting for me’ she says about her tourettes, which she says are mostly unnoticeable to people, but have affected her mentally. She has also talked about depression at the time when her career launched. 

Eilish has been an influential figure for young musicians who want to make it big in the music industry.
